Copycat Magnolia Banana Pudding
Magnolia Bakery in NYC is most known for their delicious banana pudding. Don’t live in NYC? Don’t wanna travel to the city? No worries, with this recipe you can make it in your own kitchen whenever you’re craving it.
Cook time: 5 Hour
Serving size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
3 bananas
1 12oz box Nilla wafers - make sure to reserve 10 wafers to crumble on top
1 box of instant vanilla pudding
3 cups heavy whipping cream
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup cold water
1 stp vanilla extract
Instructions:
In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and cold water until combined.
Once combined, add in the vanilla pudding and whisk together until it begins to thicken.
Cover and refrigerate for 4-6 hours. This allows the pudding to set completely before moving forward.
Using a stand mixer, whip together the heavy cream and vanilla until stiff peaks form. This will take at least 7 - 10 minutes. If you don’t have a stand mixer you can use a hand mixer.
Once the stiff peaks have formed fold in the pudding mix and combine that. Make sure you do not mix and you only fold it in.
In a trifle bowl, line the bottom with wafers covering the entire bottom, next add a layer of bananas on top of the wafers. Next add a nice layer of the pudding. Continue this process for two more times. You want three full layers, the last layer should be the pudding.
Finally crush the 10 wafers that we set aside. Sprinkle the crushed wafers on top. Place in the refrigerator and chill until ready to be served.
